Serves as a member of a nursing team and is responsible primarily for patient transportation but also provides physical care and/or assistance to patients. Responsible for transferring and transporting patients between units, to tests/procedures, appointments, and to and from privately owned vehicles and shuttles via gurneys and wheelchairs. Assists licensed staff with transferring and transporting medically compromised and/or seriously ill patients to test/procedures. Applicants pending the completion of educational, or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
