Elevate your nursing career as an Assistant Nurse Manager in Beebe Healthcare’s Emergency Department. In this dynamic role, you’ll work alongside the Nurse Manager to plan, organize, and deliver exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
Leadership: Assist in fiscal management, decision-making, and personnel processes.
Performance Excellence: Drive improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Team Collaboration: Partner with interdisciplinary teams to implement innovative solutions and support departmental goals.
Career Growth: Build leadership capabilities while serving as bench strength for the Nurse Manager role.
Responsibilities
Assists the Nurse Manager in assessment, skill proficiency evaluation, equipment and supply management, patient satisfaction initiatives, staffing, and scheduling.
Supports the Nurse Manager in overseeing the unit.
Assists with the management of personnel processes, including but not limited to hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Participates in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
Ensures compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
Effectively communicates information to staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
Assists the Nurse Manager in making timely decisions and managing change processes.
Collaborates with all departments as part of the management team.
Utilizes a personal cell phone for business purposes.
Qualifications
Experience in hospital or acute care setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients and team members.
Ability to manage crisis situations effectively.
Proven ability to provide excellent customer service to patients, team members, and visitors.
Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.
Proficiency in CPR.
PALS certification (within 6 months of hire).
Credentials
Essential:
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
NIH Stroke Certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Education
Essential:
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Magnet Recognition preferred).
OR RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program + Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Active pursuit of a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) if not already possessing a BSN.
