Schedule: Full Time
Shift: Four 10-hour shifts plus call. (5:30a – 6:00p)

The role you’ll contribute:
The Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Nurse provides care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations, interventional radiology procedures, peripheral procedures, cardiac device implants, as well as other procedures as indicated.
Care includes administration and monitoring of moderate sedation under the direction of the physician, circulation, and monitoring/recording of said procedures.
As a Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Nurse, you will prepare for and assist the cardiologist/interventional radiologist in complex procedures involving advanced equipment to aide in diagnostic testing, interventions, and device implantation in an acute setting.

Provides patient care in Cardiac Cath Lab suites, Radiology suites including CT/US, as well as pre/post areas.
Provides care for Diagnostic and Intervention Invasive Cardiovascular/Radiologic procedures to all patients, regardless of sex, age or race. Provides patients with efficient and courteous care.
Proficient on the proper use and operation of the specific imaging and monitoring equipment according to the department's policies and procedures.
Reads and interprets the hemodynamics of the patient during procedures and reports changes to the physician when indicated.
Demonstrates effective communication skills with all staff, patients, families, and cardiology services administration.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Associates Degree or higher in Nursing
Minimum 1 year experience in Critical Care and/or Emergency Department
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement.
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
EKG Competency.
Comprehension of Human anatomy including the heart, circulatory, and organ systems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
1 year experience in Cath lab
2-3 years of critical care/ER experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
