Job Summary
Responsible for building the Health Plan membership in small to mid to large size group accounts through effective direct and brokered sales and marketing efforts. Functions as a client contact for resolution of issues and for coordination of all sales and marketing needs in relation to enrollment. Interacts with management, administrative and medical staff as needed for administrative and policy decisions related to accounts.
Job Duties
Increases membership, develops and maintains relationships with client and prospective client (i.e. employer organizations; unions; federal, state and local governments, individuals).
Employs and executes on critical sales activity duties, e.g. cold calling and other targeted strategies including effective prospect management in order to build, manage and sell a pipeline of prospective employer groups.
Manages the Request for Proposal (RFP) process including, but not limited to, distribution of segments of the RFP to applicable departments, reviews and coordinates all responses to confirm accuracy of data, analyzes responses and coordinates any necessary changes to reflect a consistent presentation and organizes the proper and timely delivery of such proposals.
Responsible for oversight of assigned Sales Coordinator activities in relation to the RFP process.
Prepares and makes presentations to employer group decision-makers, employee groups and individuals.
Negotiates contracts.
Organizes and conducts enrollment communications and activities to include coordination of Open Enrollment meeting coverage as well as planning and conducting tours of facilities.
Projects image of Geisinger's dedication to professional excellence.
Contributes to strengthening the lay referral network.
Introduces and reviews Wellness Program including vision, dental and life insurance plans.
Maintains client and prospective client.
Services existing accounts.
Communicates changes in rates, benefits, or other Geisinger Health Plan information.
Joins and attends local chamber meetings and functions for networking.
Responsible for on-going maintenance to electronic database according to current requirements.
Assists in the financial and rate negotiations between client and Geisinger Health Plan.

Position Details
Experience preferred:
Proven top producer of large group fully insured and self-funded groups
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required), Bachelor's Degree- (Preferred)
Experience
Minimum of 6 years-Sales (Required), Minimum of 6 years-Health Insurance/Managed Care (Preferred)
