Independently plan and provide professional nursipolicies andprocedures. Compensation is a flat rate that is based on years of e xperience.
Plan, provide, supervise an ddocument professional nursing careutilizing the nursing process for pat ients in accordance with physicianorders and established policies and pr ocedures. Use professional nursingjudgment to individualize the plan ofc are based on assessment of thepatient's baseline needs and response toca re.Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed andunli censed care providers.Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of nursing care and actas team leader or charge nurse for a group of patien tsor an entire unitas assigned.Monitor and initiate corrective actionto maintain the environment ofcare including equipment and material resourc es.Participate in own professional development by maintaining requiredco mpetencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriateassistance or educational offerings.Act as preceptor and support the development ofother staff and formallearners.Participate in the identification of clin ical or operational performanceimprovement opportunities and in performa nce improvement activities.Perform other related duties incidentalto the work described herein.

Le vel Characteristics
Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and tocomplete the program within five years of their start date.
2 years of appropriate clinical experience required.
Degrees, Licensures, Certifications
Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
