SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible as the first line of communication between the patients and families in providing appropriate medical management and comprehensive services in the clinic and community. Responsible for the coordination of patient care for the Spina Bifida Program; coordinating the care of a interdisciplinary team of physicians, PT, OT, social worker and other professionals within the requirements of the DOH contract with TMSHMC.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Nursing required. 3years of effective in rehabilitation nursing of adults and children required Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required. Specific training in Rehabilitation, Medical-Surgical Nursing, or Pediatric Nursing required. Experience in coordination of patient care involving an interdisplinary team of physicians, therapist and social worker or is preferred. Rehabilitation for both pediatric and adult nursing and Med/Surg experience preferred.
