This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Suicide Prevention Coordinator (SPC) facilitates the implementation of suicide prevention strategies for the Palo Alto Health Care System to serve the needs of Veterans and assure that all appropriate measures are being taken to prevent suicide in our patient population. Responsibilities include providing support for the identification of Veterans at high risk of suicide; coordinating advanced care when needed; and providing education to primary care providers, Veterans, family members, and members of the local community on risk factors and warning signs for suicidal behaviors and treatment options Work Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday NOTE: Shifts may vary depending on patient care needs.
