Established in 1959, the College of Nursing has a rich history of educating exceptional nurses who are making a difference in the health care of individuals in the region and beyond. The College has earned four straight National League for Nursing Center of Excellence designations, and their innovative online offerings consistently earn them recognition among the top distance education programs in the country according to the U.S. News and World Report. As part of ECU’s Health Sciences Division – which comprises nursing, dentistry, medicine, and allied health sciences – interprofessional education is at the heart of what they do.
East Carolina University seeks a visionary and collaborative leader for the position of Dean of the College of Nursing. The successful candidate will be a consultative leader with an established record of successful academic leadership at a large, complex college or similar organization. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences, the Dean oversees the implementation of the programs of study and facilitates any necessary changes in response to future emerging trends. As the senior administrative officer for the college, the dean assumes general administrative responsibility for all aspects of the College of Nursing.
