The Nursing Support Coordinator (NSC) creates and maintains staff schedules, manages daily staffing for assigned areas in collaboration with leaders and nursing staff, and acts as a timekeeper for the electronic time keeping system as well.
Assists in maintaining databases (including registry databases) and associated files and records on a regular basis according to established procedures .
Prepares and distributes reports as requested.
Gathers information and prepares summaries as requested
Schedules/coordinates orientation/meetings/trainings for department staff.
Creates and maintains staff schedules within guidelines set by policies, union contracts and department guidelines.
Processes vacation requests
Sets holiday schedules
Works to fill vacant shifts
Enters schedules into electronic time keeping system
Acts as a timekeeper for the electronic time keeping system
Communicates with staff regarding errors on their timecard
Processes timecard correction forms
Daily reconciles timecards for accuracy
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
Vocational/Technical training or Associate Degree in a related field
