The Critical Care Unit Assistant Nurse Manager is a professional registered nurse (RN) who is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. H/She is accountable for adhering to established policies, standards of care and standards of practice. This RN demonstrates leadership when providing and improving patient care. The incumbent reports directly to the Critical Care Nurse Manager of respective area assigned. The Critical Care Unit Assistant Nurse Manager assumes the following roles and responsibilities: 1. Attends all mandatory trainings and ensuring staff are current in their mandatory trainings. 2. Functions in the role as a Charge Nurse, front line, resource staff when department needs require. 3
