The Orlando VA Healthcare System is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as the PACT (Patient Aligned Care Team) Educator. Primary duty station will be Daytona. Required to travel between Daytona, Deltona and Tavares to meet the needs of the service. The Nurse Educator will be engaged in the teaching, mentoring, promoting and facilitating optimal nursing practice within the healthcare system. Providing evidence-based education, in-services, needs assessments and evaluation of both current and new staff. Required to design, promote and support activities that foster competence, critical thinking, decision making, and compliance with The Joint Commission, VHA and Orlando VA Healthcare policies. The Nurse Educator will possess organizational skills that will enable the completion of assigned work in a timely manner, demonstrate exceptional leadership and initiative, and the ability to establish and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships. The incumbent reports directly to the Nurse Manager. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday/0800-1630. *Workday/hour flexibility required as administrative and/or clinical demands require.
