The Registered Nurse for Intensive Care Unit of the Nursing and Patient Care Services in VA San Diego Healthcare System is primarily located in VAMC La Jolla, CA. Responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following: Responsible for caring for patients on ventilators. Responsible for caring for patients with epicardial and transvenous pacing. Responds to hospital code blue and rapid response situations. Provides moderate sedation to critical care patients. Initiates and responsible for titrating vasoactive medications to maintain hemodynamic stability of blood pressure, pulse. Work Schedule: Monday - Sunday, 12-hour rotating shift, 7:30pm - 8:00am and 7:30am - 8:00pm. Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays may be required to meet patient care needs.
