This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. The Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center Registered Nurse (PRRC) is a self-directed professional nurse who assumes a leadership role in direct and indirect management of a group of patients through the coordination of care with physicians, nurse practitioners, medical residents/students, other health professionals and hospital systems and reports directly to the Nurse Manager or designee. She/he assumes leadership in case managing assigned Veterans with serious mental illnesses and coordinates services with a variety of internal and external resources to address addiction recovery needs as well as outside involvement in the community such as Community Residential programs to assess Veterans' ability to live independently as they reintegrate back into the community in the framework of Mental Health Recovery model. She/he maintains a relationship with the Veteran through all phases of treatment and reintegration into the community for provision of high quality, customer-focused and cost effective care.
