Veterans Integrated Service Network 22, Desert Pacific Healthcare Network is recruiting for one (1) Nurse IV to be the Clinical Resource Hub (CRH) Associate Chief Nurse in the Office of the Deputy Chief Medical Officer. The CRH Associate Chief Nurse is under the administrative supervision of the VISN Deputy Chief Medical Officer and the clinical supervision of the VISN Quality Management Officer. This position will be physically located at one of the VISN 22 facilities. The Clinical Resource Hub (CRH) Associate Chief Nurse position is responsible for the leadership, management, and operations of the VISN Clinical Resource Hub and Connected Care Programs, including Home Telehealth, Clinical Video Telehealth, Store and Forward Telehealth, Video to the Home, ATLAS, MyHealtheVet (MHV) , Secure Messaging and oversight of nursing practice of the Clinical Contact Center. The CRH Associate Chief Nurse will work directly with VA Central Office leadership, VISN leadership including ICCs, Facility leadership, and facility clinical staff to ensure that the Clinical Resource Hub, Connected Care services and the Clinical Contact Center are high performing. Provides executive nursing leadership to a VISN-wide Clinical Resource Hub and Connected Care Program Incumbent substantial and continuing responsibility for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling VISN-wide connected care nursing infrastructure issues which include overall operation of the VISN clinical resource hub and connected care nursing program, responding to internal and external communications, maintaining knowledge of and communicating standards of nursing practice and patient care, business practice, and developing systems to enhance overall operations and nursing communications within the VISN CC program. Collaborates with the VISN Quality Management Officer (QMO) to ensure the provision of safe, high-quality care in alignment with the High Reliability Organization. Continues collaboration with the CMO, ICCs, VISN leaders and CRH Program Directors, designs and implements an interdisciplinary Connected Care Program within the Network. Responsible for systems redesign and policy development for Clinical Resource Hub and Connected Care nursing. Responsible for significant program office responsibilities in the development and refinement of processes to meet the nursing needs of the VISN Clinical Resource Hub and Connected Care Program. Responsible for development and integration of nursing throughout all VISN Clinical Resource Hub and Connected Care Programs. Prepares recurring professional reports. Oversight for development of CCP nursing orientation and training materials and nursing education training. Provides leadership, strategic assessment, and planning to address highly complex ethical and bioethical issues for Veterans in underserved areas and protect patient and family rights. Assesses, plans, and evaluates the processes and operations of the VISN Clinical Resource Hubs and Connected Care Programs, providing consultation, mentoring, and training related to connected care policies and processes to CRH and facility nursing staff.
