The Battle Creek VA Medical Center is recruiting for an Nursing Assistant (Float Pool). The Nursing Assistant (Float Pool) will function in Nursing Service. The Nursing Assistant functions as a member of the health care team and provides skilled direct care to adult patients/residents. These patients/residents typically present with complex medical and psychiatric conditions and related functional and cognitive deficits. The deficits require that the patients/residents receive from partial to maximal assistance with activities of daily living. The incumbent applies basic scientific principles of nursing and advanced skills to meet each patient's/resident's unique physical and psychological needs. The employee must be sensitive to the cultural diversity of the patients/residents, family, and other members of the health care team. The employee assigned to this position is an active participant of the nursing team demonstrating a high level of clinical practice with minimal supervision. You will be assigned in the areas of the Medical Center as needed, provided competency is established. Work Schedule: PRN Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
