Summary

In collaboration with the ANM is responsible for the operations of assigned nursing department. Demonstrate productive and efficient time management skills. Promotes quality awareness and achieving the highest standard of excellence. Ensures assignments and safety measures are in place and adhered to in the unit. Collaborates with staff, physicians and the management team to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and accurate implementation in accordance with patient safety care standards.

Qualifications

? Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), BSN preferred.
? Minimum two years as a critical care staff nurse, previous charge nurse experience in critical care preferred.
? Ability to promote teamwork
? Basic Computer Skills
? Ability to set priorities and remain calm during stressful situations
? Knowledgeable with critical care skills and serves as a resource
? Ability to de-escalate conflict and resolve complaints regarding patient care

Licensure/Certifications

?ACLS and EKG Certified
? Registered Nurse- licensed in the state of Florida.
? BLS Certification
