| Summary
Delivers care to patients who require acute mental health care. Ensures that care delivered complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital. Has 24-hour accountability for assigned area of responsibility. Ensures unit is staffed appropriately and the fiscal budget goals are achieved. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation when performing nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient. Assists and supervises RN�s, and Psychiatric Technicians to ensure that age/developmentally appropriate care is delivered in accordance3 with unit standards. #LI-JP1
Qualifications:
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):
Current Florida RN license
BSN preferred
Current BLS Certification
Florida Protective Services background check
Experience in Mental Healthcare, Knowledge of Mental Health Law
Demonstrated leadership and time management skills
Positive affect and excellent oral and written communication skills
