JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse Trauma Program Integration Specialist
LOCATION: Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center

WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE) - Exempt
Serves in an expanded role to oversee trauma performance improvement data-base integration in collaboration with the Trauma Case Management/PI and
Trauma Registry operations. Supports the performance improvement process, research, and regulatory requirements.
Work in partnership with the Trauma Director, Trauma Program Manager/Coordinator and Trauma Program staff to provide administrative and staff
support to promote the operations of the Trauma Program maintaining state certification. Performs duties to provide the highest level of trauma program
operations throughout the continuum of trauma care supporting regulatory requirements, optimal trauma patient care, satisfaction, and outcome.
Reports directly to the Trauma Program Manager/Coordinator.

Demonstrates effectiveness and accuracy in completing responsibilities.
Demonstrates ability to cooperate with the physicians, nurses, receptionists, secretaries and ancillary personnel in assuring a smooth coordinated
effort in delivering quality patient care.
Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment. Must be able to deal directly with patients in such a way as to instill confidence and
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduate from an approved school of nursing required. RN required, BSN preferred.
Current licensure in the state of Pennsylvania required.
Trauma Nurse Course Required. Appropriate advanced certification required, or must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
Minimum of three years trauma experience in a trauma unit required.
